JONATHAN IGNATIUS GREEN
Director & Producer

Jonathan’s documentary and scripted films have premiered at leading festivals like SXSW and Cannes, and have been distributed by Netflix, Amazon and Apple. His first feature documentary, Social Animals, premiered at the 2018 SXSW film festival where it was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize and was released later that year on Netflix. He returns to SXSW in 2022 with The Pez Outlaw and again in 2024 with the twisted true crime feature documentary Dickweed he directed for AMC Studios.

As a writer and producer, Green’s recent projects include the Netflix original documentary Bitconned (2024), the Emmy Award-winning documentary The Pez Outlaw (SXSW 2022), and the anthology true crime series Smugshot premiering on AMC and SundanceTV spring 2024, all of which were collaborations with Sidestilt Films.

Currently, Green is also in development with Gunpowder & Sky on Lottery to Robbery, a new true crime documentary he’ll direct.

In addition to his long-form work, Jonathan writes and directs commercials and content for brands such as Nike, Uber, Redbull, and Google.
